Inspired by spring, the season of "rebirth," when primrose flowers bloom, heralding the new season, this craft beer draws inspiration from German pilsners. It's fermented at low temperatures and aged cold for several months, brewed with only barley malt and the freshest hops, sourced directly from the Tettnang area of Germany—one of the most suitable growing areas for the noble German hop varieties. The freshness of the hops is one of its strengths, giving Primula a pleasant, yet never overpowering, herbaceous bitterness. Notes of fresh grass, hay, and cereals stand out on the nose, while the cereals (light honey) and herbaceous hops return on the palate. The finish is medium, characterized by an elegant bitterness. An excellent aperitif beer, Primula pairs beautifully with light or lightly spiced cuisine. Thanks to the collaboration with Porto Conte Ricerche Srl of Alghero as part of the cluster initiative "Introduction of gluten-free beer production" (pursuant to Art. 26 LR n. 37/98), Primula is a gluten-free craft beer—the first in Sardinia to be produced and certified—and can therefore also be enjoyed by those with celiac disease. Its name refers to spring (the root of the words "primula" and "primavera" are the same) and also includes a reference to this small but important record.
